Back to C.V. << Teaching Career Culler enjoys her role as a teacher. She recently completed her tenure as the Interim Head of the Glass Department at Kent State University for the academic years beginning Fall 1998 through Spring 2000. She continues to teach in the workshop format, and has taught multiple times at both Urban Glass in Brooklyn, New York and The Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York. This past year of 2001, Culler taught courses in glass at Urban Glass in Brooklyn, New York and the Cleveland Institute of Art. She was a Visiting Artist at the University of Texas at Arlington. Culler She taught an intensive Mosaic /Glass Collage course with Philippa Beveridge in Spain at the Fundacio Centre del Vidre de Barcelona in August. They have been asked to teach several courses in Barcelona in 2002. Currently, Rene Culler works in her studio, a glass facility called Icon Studio Arts in Cleveland, Ohio which she co-founded with her two artist partners. She enjoys time in the studio to pursue creative individual work. She occasionally teaches short course in glassblowing and oven working techniques. |
