She has worked as a professional artist since 1973, but returned to school as an older non-traditional artist to achieve her degrees in Art/Glass; a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1992 and an MFA, summa cum laude from Kent State University in 1994. She has been affiliated with both institutions as an instructor in Glass. Culler has also studied at the Pilchuck School in Washington State and the Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York.
